Hike the VIC on New Year’s Day 2025
Paul Smith’s College Visitor Interpretive Center (the VIC) is offering a 3-mile hike around Heron Marsh where there will be plenty of spots to stop, take in the view, and look for wildlife.
The Visitor Interpretive Center will provide free snowshoe rentals for this event, if participants don’t have their own. DEC Ranger Matt Adams will lead the early morning snowshoe.

“This is a free day for all with no charge for trail passes or rentals,” says Bill Brosseau, Director, Paul Smith’s College Visitor Interpretive Center.
Arrive by 8:30am on Wednesday, January 1, 2025.
The hike begins at 9:00am and will take about two hours to complete.
